first of all, thanks for answering this topic. I can understand all of the points you've metioned in your post, but my main concern was that the rules are written in a way that they leave much of empty and free space in which admins can perform actions. There isn't directly written that a ban from a paragon server automatically results in a permanent ban from the cup and all cup servers. I guess me and many other players of this great game would be grateful if Paragon could make the rules clear once more, like, when a certain misbehaviour actually leads to a ban, why it does (maybe there have been previous issues) and how long it lasts.

thanks for writing as and letting us know how you feel about the recent events.

I just want to clarify with my post the process which lead to your ban. When you repeatedly misbehaved on our servers in a way we've hardly ever seen before - in a negative way. And I heard and saw your insulting and provocative attitude towards neutral players and members of the Paragon-Team, I personally, as leader of Paragon, decided that I no longer can square with my conscience to have you playing with all the other friendly players which are in the community on our Servers. This action was only taken once before and carefully thought through as last resort. The ParagonLeague rules, of course, don't apply here as they only apply in cups rather the moral and ethic codex of the admins apply there.
The ban from all Paragon Shootmania servers also, of course, lead to the ban in pL, as pL servers are also Paragon Shootmania servers. At this point your ban was open-ended.

Reviewing your actions we then decided to plan your unban from our public server on December 31st. At this point, both Lukas and me, the only developers of pL who have access to all files and data, were on vacation and very busy. Because this is only the second time a player was banned from our public server and the first time someone got unbanned from then we could not ensure the unbanning process would work without problems (As you said, pL is a complex system). When it didn't I worked on that problem as soon as I had the chance.

Both ParagonLeague Cupadmins and the Management have neither the rights nor the knowledge to ban or unban players from public servers, so they and you had to wait until Lukas or I could do it.
Also all our Cupadmins have the orders to not let any banned player play in cups and at this point you were still banned by the system. A smurf also wouldn't have worked as pL bans the player and not the account and the system ensures playing with another account while banned is not possible.

I understand your anger about the problems we had with your ban, but I think you have no right to make mountains out of molehills.
Let's hope you will not make us regret our decision about unbanning you again and we're looking forward to seeing you again both in our cups and on our public servers.

I have a few questions concerning Paragon League, the rules and the system behind all this.

1. Why are the rules [i]that[/i] non-transparent so that every admin can decide between life and death of a player? The player [i]Schnitzel[/i] banned me from the Paragon servers for trolling him with a smurf account (which was legitimate, I behaved like a kid), but also from all the Paragon league cups. There is no single rule which backs that decision up. I quote from the official Paragon league rules which are accessible from the home page:

Not showing up for a match (single member). This does not count for when a member is timed out. +- 15 minutes after the start of the cup.
Inappropriate behaviour or flaming
Cheating and/or Glitching
Using tags, pictures or team names of teams or communities, which you are not part of.

The heading "[...] of a team member" indicates that those rules [i]do exclusively[/i] apply [i]within[/i] the cups itself, not on a random paragon server on any random day. Banning me was a wrong decision, as I have not broken any of the rules defined here: [url]https://league.paragon-esports.com/cup/rules[/url].

2. I was supposed to be unbanned on the 1st of January. Guess what: Nothing happened since then. Their excuse: "We have a bug in the system!". Now in all seriousness: Why should there be a bug in unbanning a player and why isn't it possible to manually unban me through editing the database?
